Alliance of Food Champions
Sierra Leone was one of the five founding members of the Alliance of Food Champions at COP28 in Dubai. The Alliance of Champions for Food Systems Transformation (ACF) is a strategic coalition of ambitious countries determined to act urgently, together. The other members are Brazil, Cambodia, Norway, and Rwanda. Signatories to the Alliance are committing to driving systemic change, taking a ‘whole of government’ approach and inspiring others to go further, faster to deliver better outcomes for people, nature and climate.
“Sierra Leone has become a founding member of the ACF to meet the challenges we face through bold action, stubborn optimism and global collaboration. We are looking forward to partnering with Brazil, Cambodia, Norway and Rwanda to propel the food systems transformation agenda forward into a new era – and invite others to join us.“

Minister for Agriculture and Food Security, and co-chair of ACF, Sierra Leone
